Dr. Kelly Casperson, MD

Dr. Casperson is a urologist with a specific interest in sexual health and hormones. She treats genito-urinary syndrome of menopause every day in clinic.

Meet Kelly

What do you want the world to know about perimenopause, menopause, and anything that comes after?

Genitourinary syndrome of menopause is very common. It affects 50-80% of women post menopause. And the symptoms can start prior to the stop of your periods, in the perimenopause years. I like to think of vaginal estrogen as preventative care, like flossing, sunscreen and seatbelts.

What are your go-to's for health and wellness?

My go-tos are a good silicone or oil based lube, yoga and mindfulness, and my book and podcast for more evidence based info around female sexuality (You Are Not Broken).

Because I believe vaginal estrogen should be accessible and affordable to whomever wants it.
